There is an ongoing debate about when we should start listening to Christmas songs and it is often complicated to talk to people about your Christmas playlist.

Christmas is a long wait for everyone and we think that a personalised Christmas themed playlist will be a great conclusion to the wait, while everyone enjoys good food and presents.

This fun little applet allows you to get in the Christmas spirit without doing anything. Indeed, as soon as we reach Christmas in the specified time zone, your favorite Christmas songs will be added to your dedicated spotify playlist!

First of all, you need to create an If This Then That (IFTTT) account which allows one to use different APIs and Webhooks to create your own customised Applet. APIs can be combined to trigger actions when a certain condition is met.

To reproduce our very own Applet follow the following instructions:

- Connect to your IFTTT account and select "Make your own Applets from scratch" or click on the following link : https://ifttt.com/create
- Select the "Is it Christmas yet?" API and choose the timezone that suits you.
- We will now select the "THEN" aspect of our Applet: Select Spotify's API, connect to your account and choose "Add a track to a playlist" and choose a name for your playlist. *Please note that if the playlist name doesn't exist, the playlist will be automaticly created on your spotify account*
- Choose the songs you want to be added to your playlist once the "IF" condition is completed.

To get inspired, I have checked If This Then Dominos (https://ifthisthendominos.com/) as I knew I wanted to create something goofy as well as fun to use. Approaching Christmas, my thought process directly took me to something related to the wait for Christmas with obviously implies a lot of music.
